Economic Support provides a variety of services to families and individuals.  Starting January 1, 2026, Forest County residents will have a new phone number to call for help with your Wisconsin state benefits: 888-319-3091.  The new Milwaukee Enrollment Services (MilES) Forest County Unit will provide services for people who live in Forest County.  The unit supports programs like Medicaid, BadgerCare Plus, FoodShare, and the Wisconsin Shares childcare program.  Below is some additional contact information:

1. Online - Go to access.wi.gov to: Apply for benefits, Report changes, Renew Benefits, Upload documents
2. By Mail - Mail documents to MDPU, 6055 N. 64th St., Milwaukee, WI 53218
3. By Fax - Submit documents to 608-316-9151
4. In Person - Go to Forest County Human Services in Crandon to: Drop off documents, pick up forms and publications, Request QUEST cards, use a computer to access ACCESS

Members interested in applying for Foodshare, Medicaid, or other Income Maintenance Programs, have four ways to apply:

1. Call 833-319-3091
2. Apply online through ACCESS 
3. Complete a Foodshare paper application or a Medicaid paper application
4. In-person by visiting Forest County Human Services or by scheduling a face-to-face appointment by 715-478-3351

Forest County Human Services will no longer answer questions by phone starting January 1, 2026.  In 2026, call the MilES Forest County Unit at 833-319-3091.
